Directing The Whale
Adapted from Herman Melville's Moby-Dick
If man will strike, strike through the mask!
In the fall of 2012 I began working on a stage play cut from the pages of my favorite novel, the beautifully lyrical and madly experimental American classic Moby-Dick. I presented a reading of the script in May 2013 at ART/South Oxford Space and am developing a workshop production with music and choreography for early next year. This is a Moby-Dick of rowdy sea shanties, Shakespearean soliloquies, fierce dialogue, dancing, shouting, and reckless abandon. It's also a play about loyalty and love, awe and terror, faith and hatred, brutality and tenderness. And sperm. Check out the project's official website!
Played Robin in Merry Wives of Windsor
By William Shakespeare
Directed by Douglas N. Honorof
Teatro Latea, 107 Suffolk
October 24 - November 10
I recently played Falstaff's rebellious page Robin in the Baited Bear Players' inaugural production of The Merry Wives of Windsor at Teatro Latea. It was a pleasure to work with so many talented people and to perform Shakespeare in the reconstructed original pronunciation. Many hearty thanks to all the friends who came to see the show! We received a very warm review from StageBuddy.com that you can read here.
